Dedicated to the memory of Rebecca Hallsmith
Becky Hallsmith was an inspirational independent cinema owner. Her Ultimate Picture Palace is much beloved in East Oxford.
Becky bought the cinema as she recovered from lymphoma, and she devoted the next 15 years of her life to making it a huge success. When a new lymphoma took hold, she knew her condition was untreatable but died knowing her 15 extra years had fulfilled both her own passion for film and that of her local community.
Becky would always suggest that anyone needing information about Lymphoma should turn to Lymphoma Action as their first source of advice.
